    I just called the Sunnybrook Cancer centre in toronto, it's an oncology clinic, wasn't able to find anyone named PENG, not sure if they treat lukemia

      如果没有现成的骨髓库而靠临时去找，恐怕难度不亚于大海捞针。
      方案一：从老家近亲属中寻找骨髓源。
      彭先生好像是独子，不过他老家应该还有叔叔、伯伯、堂兄弟吧？我觉得如果要救命的话，这件事情也许没必要一直瞒着家里。我不是很懂医学，我大胆的问一句，彭先生的孩子有没有可能救父亲呢？
      方案二：向台湾大型同胞骨髓库（精确的联络名称我记不得了，不过应该可以从网上查到）求助。最近国内好几名病人都是从台湾找到了适合捐骨髓的同胞。
      方案三：大海捞针法，也就是瘦猪说的办法。有时候，我们必须相信奇迹。

        His relative would have a higher chance of matching, but my understanding is that the percentage is no more than 25% higher than a total stranger.

        It does cost money to get tested, though there are places that will sponsor such cause.
        • 三管齐下最好了。我还是觉得瞒着家里，放弃最有希望的一条路不可取。希望彭先生的朋友judy_an可以把这个意见转达给他们一家。当然即使配型成功，亲属捐献骨髓也会面临很多实际困难，比如往加拿大的签证问题，旅费等等。 -pingle(pingle); 2002-1-6 {25} (#324020@0)
