              • Sun is going to shrink like novell. Be prepared.
                • sun is totally different from novel, novel will be gone, sun will still be hot
    • For the time being, System Admin is still hot, not sure after fall. Seems like employer like to hire systm admin in Spring. Anyway you need time to get used to the environment and language, esp. job searching skills.
      • thank u for your advice for me, cyt. i want to ask u to give me some recommendation .
Do you think whether i had better find programmer positions while i search for unix administrator positions because i heard that chances for programmer may be much more.
        • What you're familiar with and interested in should be your best choice. Any position has opportunity. Just think which one is harder to get experience. Wat you need to care is that System Administrator ask for higher language skills than programmer.
If you decide your goal is SA, then prepare more for database or web server or network. You must have something that is not easy to get for others.
      • Altough I have worked as a UNIX engineer, I applied for immigration at programer.I want to know whether employer will ask me to show my landing paper which said i woked as a programer in China. What can i do?
        • one of my classmates applied as CP and now he work as a system administrator in Canada now. Don't worry about it .
          • thank you for your answer, flashback.Your answer made me disburdened, which I think helped me a lot. Could you answer me one more question?
could you please make me know some information on him , I mean , maybe i could learn something from him about finding a job as a Unix administartor. If you can response to me, i will appreciate your help very much.
