I don't know if you can do it in the computer science. But to my opinion, it is very hard to learn biochemistry in a few months, provided that you know little about organic chemistry and biology.

I know a few guys who studied biometrics and found jobs in this field. All of them have biological background.

It is hard to find a bioscience job in North America so that biometrics is a good choice. By the way, the mathematical knowledge such as statistics is very important in biometrics.
If you are good at Organic Synthesis, it is not hard to find a job. A lot of pharmaceutical companies are looking for organic guys.

My major is telecommunications. I know my major has this research direction for graduate student. So I think knowledge in CS is Ok.
