TTC in Toronto can help you go anywhere in GTA, even you stay in central Mississauga, you may not be able to go to library, community center, cinema, restraurant easily.

Actually, it's less than one hour away from Toronto to Mississauga. Some of my friends live in Toronto and work in Mississauga. And in my company, 3 of them live in Mississauga and work in Toronto. Personally, I think landing in Toronto is better than Mississauga. After you find a job there, move then.
