    York: Toefl 220
    Queen's Toefl 237
    UT: no mention
    UTO:no mention
    OTTAWA:no mention
    Winsor:no mention
    Calgary: Toefl 220

    • By the way, TOEFL240, TWE4 is fine with UW.
      • University of Warterloo 不是TOEFL250,TWE5.0吗?BTW:Brock University 的ACCOUNTING怎么样?
        • TOEFL250, TWE5 is standard requirement, I think 580 + 4 is special consideration. Most likely UW doesn't care. BTW, WLU accounting is pretty good actually. I will say UW 1st, WLU 2nd in Ontario.
          • Thanks, and what is the WLU?
            • WLU stands for Wilfrid Laurier University
          • How about the Accounting of Brock University?
              • Thanks, I will try Brock.
        • If you have an undergrad degree, apply for the MAcc program, if you can't speak well then don't waste your money, in my humble opinion
          • Thanks. Then in your opinion, I have no opportunity to study in UW. I mean, I have an engineering bachelor degree now, but I would like to apply an art bachelor degree, can I do it like this?
            • You can apply for the Master of Accountancy program if you have an undergrad degree
              • Thanks a lot. But my English is not very well and my first degree is engineering degree. So, I'm afraid I can get the offer of the MAcc. For these reasons, I am thinking about to apply the BAcc of UW.
      • She didn't say she has a bachelor.
        • Actually, I do have an engineering bachelor degree already. So, can I apply the accounting of UW?
      • york university has acconting and i heard it is better
        • Thanks. I've applied York already. But I think I should apply several universities at the same time.
      • No. They have commerce degree but specialized in ACC. Strongly suggest you check out WLU. UW does not award B.Acc degree actually.
        • but i check and find there is only a diploma of accounting in WLU , not degree.
        • Thanks a lot. I've checked the WLU.
The name of the program in WLU is BA-Honours Economics and Accounting, right?
The name of the UT program is Commerce and Finance(including Accounting) in University of Toronto at Mississauga.
But what is the name of bachelor of Accounting in UW?
          • There is no Bachelor of Accounting. You either get into Math/Acc and get B.Math + M.Acc or Art/Acc and get B.Art + M.Acc, or Bioinformatic/Acc, and get B.Science + M.Acc.
If you apply for the Math one, your major courses (aside from acc) are math. If you apply for the Art one, it's art, if you apply for bioinformatic, it's science. Very simple.
            • Thank you so much! I will apply the Accounting program in Math of UW, UT, WLU, Brock and Calgary. If my TOEFL score is not qualified for UW or UT, I will take the test again. Thanks again and good luck!
        • Another question: what the difference of faculty of Arts and faculty of Mathematics about the program of Accountancy Studies in UW? Thanks.
          • As I said above, UW does not award B.Acc degree.
        • Faculty of Mathematics的Accountancy Studies是5年co-op, 两个学位BMath and MAcc,符合CA条件,语言要求TOEFL: 580 and TWE and TSE must be taken。
          • Mind I ask did you know CA/CGA/CMA or you just want to get a local degree?
            • I want both of them, a local degree and CA, CMA or CGA.
              • I don't know your age. As far as I know it is already not easy and a long way to go for any of CA/CGA/CMA.
Plus I do know that university won't let you go to take their course unless you don't tell them that you have Accounting degree. Well, might be another way to get your goal. Just FYI.
                • Thanks. I would like to listen your advice. I am 25 years old. I know it's not too young and the way to CA/CGA is so long.
But I think it's not too late to learn. Please give me some proposals. I will appreciate your help.
                  • I don't know which botton I pressed. I mean people here think that Cs worth more than a degree. Plus when you are looking for a job all they care is you are a Cs and you have a degree wherever you got it.
I mean there are tons of way to go to the same goal. Depends on each person. If you already have an accounting degree you could get the transfer for more than 6 lessons. You can work while you are taking those courses. The only advantage for a degree is that Co-op so you can get experience when you study well.

I think besides accounting there are too much to learn, financial, mutual funds, stock market, etc.

                    Few thoughts, hope this help.
                    • Actually, I have a engineering degree rather than a accounting degree. The reason I apply accounting is that I think a local degree and a CA or CGA will help me find a job in Canada.
I don't know many programs in Canada universities. My cousin told me that the accountancy is a good career and CGA or CA can find a perfect job in Canada, so I decide to pursue a degree here.

But if I apply a degree of financial, mutual funds or stock market, I don't know how about the job market in these areas in Canada. Do you have some information about it?

                      Thanks&Regards
                      • Oh, ok, I think you are right. Then usually two ways people get there Cs.
Go to some college and get most of courses done there and then transfer to Cs. This could probably take 2+3 yrs. Go to university and then go Cs you will look at 4+2 yrs. Both way works.

Maybe your way will be the better way if you can get a very good scrore in courses. Then after school you might get in public practice. Then you on track. This could be the best way to go and for your age it is not too late. But you got work very hard to be the best. Otherwise maybe the first way is better.

May I ask are you interest in accounting at all?
                        • Thank you for you advice. You are so nice.
I know the first way is more flexible than the last one. But in my opinion, if I choose the first one I have to find an accounting job during I am studying in College, right?
Otherwise, I can not get the CGA. At the same time, it's not easy to get a job offer now. So, I'm afraid I can't take the first one although I don't know the details about it.

For the second one, maybe it's not easy, but I will do my best to do it. That's all I can do and I have to do.

About my interest, it's a dream for me. For I need money to pay my cost of living, then I have to reserve my dream and forget it for the moment.
                          • You are welcome. You know what you want. Good luck.
          • You don't need TSE.
          • PLEASE, UW all Bechalor progarms in Accounting DON'T accept who has a bechalor degree. Call the registrar Office before you apply. Or you'll waste time and money.
    • Concordia univ is very good in accounting in Canada. You should have a try
