    Some of us have ever tested our skills at www.brainbench.com. This company is located not far from my new client site. Yesterday, brainbench annouced that it has laid off 33 of its 96 workforce members. Most of the laid-offs are technical team members.

        I tested EJB, JSP, Java 2, OOP, Java GUI at brainbench.com. I did not buy any certificates form them. I forgot to test C++ and Design Patterns there... and they began to charge on March 1, 2001.

        Here is the point. You should not present these certificates to potential employeers. They are useful for self-evaluation only. In USA, some consulting companies ask the candidates to take some tests at brainbench.com but it is the company that pays the money.

        I publicized my records at brainbench.com and I frequently receive emails from some recruiters. If you are in Canada now, I suggest you
        publice your records there.
