you may need to wait for a coupleof months before applying for visiting visa to the States otherwise you can be rejected by US embassy or consulate immediately because they think it's so obvious that you have intention to immigrate to the States. not like canadian citizen working for US companies, you need your US company to petition for your H-1 visa instead of TN1 visa.

Normally it's much safer to apply for a US visa after 6 months since you land in Canada. Or after you have a job offer in Canada, you will be given 5 years' visitor's visa. -ycc(carol); 2000-7-25 (#4192@0)
