    • A miniDV JVC 505, bought in last Oct., from yahoo shopping, usd$650 including everything. Bought a 1394 card w/ cable & software as well, usd$65. MiniDV is better, D8 is a obsolete format and few supporters. -eglington(eglington); 2001-4-10 {377} (#42916@0)
      My 505 can take still pictures as a digital camera and store them into its built-in 2M memory, and then you can transfer them into you PC via RS232 port. But the image quality is poor. Now I capture the video by using the 1394 card to AVI file(quite big), then get images from it. It's much better than those taken in "digital camera" mode. Take a look on our FU BAI photos.
