  • 工作学习 / 求学深造 / Anyone who has/will apply for US univ after land in Ca? Want to exchange experience in application & others? I plan to land in Ca next Jan.
    • don't you think it's too late to apply for US school by that time you are landed if you want a scholarship? check out the deadlines for undergraduate and graduate studies, most of which are much earlier than that of Canadian school.
      • You are right. i am now processing my application to US univ. What i want to know is, if i go to US from Ca, is it difficult to get a visa? Or no one will care if your passport was remarked REFUSAL before?
        • by the time you are supposed to start your study in US, let's say next August, you will have been staying in Canada for more than 6 months. So it shouldn't be a problem for you to get F1 visa.
          • How come if i only stay in Canada for a few days and then go to the states? I prefer next Winter semester to save time.
            • You will be rejected immediately by US officials for visiting visa.
              • Faint!.... Is there any good idea to avoid that? More time in Canada? Say, 2 months. Why the states officers do that? The damned American!
                • calm down. I think the way they are doing it is fair. just consider that you are supposed to make canada your new home, but you don't want to settle down, so, what else can your purpose to come to the States?:-)
                  3-6 months is better.
                  • sorry, typo. should be ' what else can be your purpose......'
