come on, montreal is an international city, most montrealers in central and west montreal are bilingual(at least). I just don't guarantee people who lives west of Papineu speak English, but they definitely understand English. -guest:; 2000-7-28 (#4503@0)

To my experience, it's still much easier to get an affordable place in Montreal than in Toronto. You can try Cote des Neiges/Cote Ste Catherines area, Verdun area, and South shore if you don't tend to live in downtown. Transportation is convenient, and much cheaper than here.
