          If the handset is GSM, China and Canada use different frequency band. Unless your handset is multiband, you will surely have a problem. My Fido PCS phone is single band, so I can use it in the US, but not in China. If I want to roam to China, I will have to rent a handset in China and put the SIM card in it.
