我在深圳，四季如春，著名IT公司，年薪相当高，但就是要加班，把所有的时间卖进去，总觉得不值得。总梦想象SAILOR一样在自己的后园种菜。出不出国我很犹豫。在国内对我来说挣钱比出国容易，但生活不只是钱的问题，比如国内的治安，偷、抢都不算什么，竟然有扑头党、针管党。医院没医德，警察没人性，腐败得一塌糊涂。不知道加拿大的人、政府、社会的素质如何？值不值得痛苦地学外语并忍受寒冬？除了找工作挣钱之外，大家对其他方面的生存环境有什么感受呢？

Going aboard or not is really a hard question to answer. It's depends on ur life attitude. U should discuss with Sailor. He will definitely persuade u to come. I am sure. He has his own opinion on immigration. He is firmed on that. I hold different oppinion. His major is also IT, so maybe his words are more useful than mine. But as time being, for me, I have worse and worse homesick. I really want to go back to China. Of course, the thing is, before I go back home, I should have citizenship, and a quite good local education background, then will consider to hunt a good job better back home. But people told me, after I get my citizenship and my education background, I will no longer think about going back. I don't know.

国内真的很过分。昨天的报纸又说起一件事，一个孕妇难产，送医途中遭交警拦下查了20分钟，任人苦苦哀求都不理，结果大人孩子都死了。这种事太多了，一般的凶杀案都不算什么，今天医生看着窒息的孩子跪在面前却无动于衷，明天警察二话不说掏枪就打，很多冤案是法院一手制造的。。。我们走在街上，有人问路都不敢帮他，人们之间充满了不信任，因为竟然有人会为讹诈医药费而诬陷出手相救的人是肇事者。。。总之，一言难尽。

Yes, life here is simple and lonely, especially for new immigrants. It's hard for u to really enjoy local entertainments, such as going to pub, just chatting and drinking.. It takes time for u to really enjoy it, or u will never really love it... Ai,,, -lumlumq(lumlum); 2000-8-11 (#5941@0)

Many many times, I have that feeling that I was right to come here.

When I cross the street, I feel it.

When I hear the whisle of ambulance and see all cars stop to yield the road, I feel it.

When I get on a bus, and hear "Good morning" from the driver, I feel it.

When I see somebody keeps the door open for me while entering a mall, I feel it.

When I see people dancing with music in the lakeshore in the summer evening, I feel it.

Much much more. Not only the blue sky and green grass.

Remember the song "the Olive Tree" ? That's what I like, it expresses quite a lot of my feeling. (btw, who can post the words of that song?)
