      • it is unclear what you meant, a piece of furniture, or you had a Status of Forces Agreement with 红卫兵?
        • So Overly Fascinated by the Article.
          • Fascination is the root of attraction between men and women
            • HA HA HA
      • Go back to LINC Level 1
        • No offence.
I am in an environment that everyone is getting hundreds of emails & doing millions of things everyday. So to effectively pass on a message, we are used to put up a few bullet points at the beginning to get ppl's attention. Massive text sometimes make ppl drowsy.
          • Starting with catching title + executive summary, that is.
          • Nonetheless, on Rolia, the wincity id bears reputation, which exempts him from the rule.
            • Or ruleS.
          • I'm writing an article, not a report. I'm trying to persuade people, not to pass information. I can summarize the article in one sentence, but if I do, you won't read the article.
            • Take it easy. There are always different opinions.
              • Do I appear uneasy? I'm just telling my side of the story. I have high respect for vicky and david who disagreed with me the last time.
              • I agree with Toad. Writing to persuade is completely different than writing to inform.
    • It is our tradition to speak ambiguously. Besides, it's a trend to use wrong and totally nonsense words deliberately now.
It's kind of à la mode. Nobody seems to be offended and look at it as a faux pas. In fact, some of us are trying to mimic it, so they can have a téte-à-téte with peers. Of course, this eventually will get into cul-de-sac.

I don't know what I am talking about. But it's so cool to pile up a whole bunch of fancy words here you and I don't understand......
    • It's a good topic, but unfortunately the example you provided is more for slapping on the 1 cent lady's face then elaborating you points. One thing for effective communication is not to get personal..;-)...keep going.
      • I actually think it's a great example. Am I mad at her? Not at all. I'm not even sure if she's mean or if she's just trying to be funny. If the latter, great, because I'm trying to be funny as well.
    • some guys just don't want make their words clear...they just want to invent another english and let local ppl to re-learn it from them.
    • Lol.

Here is one more cent,
