more for practicing web development. so a lot of apps have to be installed, such as visual studio, ultradev , sql and even dreamweaver and flash. web navigation and text process are also necessary. for cost's sake, i can sacrifice game function. :(

So you had better buy a brand machine. The disadvantage of brand machine is its weak 3D ability.

According to your demand, you should buy a machine with a large hard drive and memory. As to me, I like IBM and HP, good quality and service. But they are a little expensive. I found one in the futureshop, sounds great. You should add another memory and you must be hurry. BTW, ti has a 15' monitor, a little bit small.
