It is not easy for foreigners to understand and pronounce Chinese names. Otherwise, it would facilitate your communication with foreigners. You cannot always use Chinese name officially while use English one orally. Any idea?

usually I tell other my english name, but when fill out some official doc, i use my chinese name like passport one, and u can add like ' (Jack) ' following ur chinese name if you want. I used this way for 8 months, no problem at all.

You have to consider this problem after you land in Canada. I need the help especially from the people living abroad.
