    I received my B.S. degree in Computer Science and M.S. degree in Computer Network at Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1995 and 1998, respectively. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics at Xidian University as a
    research assistant. I participated TOEFL in
    Oct. 1999 with score 630. With this backgroud, I want to immigrate to Canada.
    Could you give me some information about the following question?
    1. Must I apply for CCPE?
    2. With TOEFL 630, Must I particiapte IELTS?
    3. DIY or Agent?

      How many years of work experience do you have? You should at least have one years working.

      1, You should apply for a CCPE estimation if you apply immigration as an engineer, e.g. "software engineer".

      2, Ielts is used for testing the ability of using daily English. It's another system. If the visa officer ask you to attend an Ielts, you'd better take it.

      3, DIY.
