Your VB and MS SQL skills are useful. The issue is how good you are.

Your C and List skills are useful, too. But you cannot make your living using them.

Even you are good at MS technologies, you had better play a little bit on Java and Oracle.

MCSD is a good certificate. But no company will give you a job before you have MCSD. For
a Chinese, English is extremely important.
I suggest YOU DON"T READ ANY CHINESE COMPUTER BOOKS. You can use free ENGLISH computer books from internet.
I have ever interviewed about 10 Chinese colleages, most of them have great difficulties in understanding IT terminologies.

Another fact you should have in mind: The salary for VB guys is relatively low.
