  • 工作学习 / 求学深造 / Which choice should I take? The College or the University? The former is cheap but not easy to find a job, the latter has higher quality but so expensive . I am confusing now! Who can help me???
    • Take the university if you can
If you want to go back to school, take the university, and better go for a Master's degree. Tuition fee isn't so expensive (less than $2000 per semester). Besides, you can work as TA or RA. College is kind of waste due to the money and time you put in and the market requirement.
      • 和专业有关系,护士上一年的TRANING SCHOOL就可以。如果是CS一定要上名校,而且要准备上研究生,未来的竞争更激烈。

know how many years do I need to get the degree , cause I know Ryerson University's
tuition for one year is up to $ 9000, that's pretty expensive to me!
        • do you really want to change major? which major do you prefer? my former major is urban planning, now i plan to study the same field in Waterloo.
          • Do you know if you can find a job after studying the major of urban planning? But I know architect in Canada has little chance especially the immigrant from the other country.
            • i think whatever you study, if you try your best, you can find a job finally. i don't worry about it.
        • I am not familar with Architecture. It could cost more since you have to draw a lot of pix? (my guessing:) ). The usually procedure is: Accept offer, pay tuition, select courses or transfer credits. A master's degree usually takes two years.
        • I only did CS here. Different department are different. So you have to choose your major first. Personally, I don't think studying urban planning can easily find a job here.
          • agree with you! so I change my major to computer programmer.
