  • 工作学习 / IT杂谈 / My first job interview in Canada---Jabber
本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I arrived in Toronto yesterday (Setp 17). Thanks to an agent's efforts, I had a job interview this afternoon at 5:00pm with a company called powerdign.com.

The manager who screened me is called
Ceasar. He is sort of person who does not smile. I did not see him smling from beginning to end. I cannot imagnine how he can make money ...

Through I claimed to be a senior level Java developer, he still asked me to evaluate myself. I told him I am at senior level in
Servlet, JSP, EJB, JDBC, RMI and I am
at junior level in CORBA and Java Swing.
Actually, I could cheat him and told him I
am an experts in these field. But I did not want to do that because I am not so eager to get a job at present.

He insisted asking me some simple
Java questions. To help the followers, I list
    them as follows:

    1) How do you create a Thread in Java?
    2) What's the difference between doGet and
    doPost?
    3) How do you manage multiple Threads in Java?

I think these questions were prepared by some Java experts and they will be re-used to test other Java developers in the future.

Our talk covered EJB, Servlet, JSP, JDBC,
    RMI, UML,...
He asked me a question about Rational Rose: How many kinds of diagrams can you draw?

I have to point out that powerdigm.com is a Java-based consulting company. They
cannot offer me anything. If they think I am good, they may have me represent their company and sell me to the clients. That means, I still need to be interviewed by the
client. I can make money only if some client company thinks I am good and would like to use me.

This is the life. Hope this will help some people.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
