people with 6 month traning of VB/Delphi do can write some decent UI/DB program. Java/C# which compare to C/C++ is real user friendly, u needn't to be a guru to write correct code, the language and libary designer have already hidden the dark side. And you needn't know the oral-passed-only coding idiom , because language may already forced you to do so. These two language are more foolproof, which is more suitable for teamwork. And it's the trend.
