If you have Chinese license, it's very useful in BC. I got mine in China July 2000 and came to Vancouver last August. Bought a car in September and passed Level 5 road test in December.

If you have insurance record, tranlate it to english and notify it (or if the insurance can provide the english version document), bring it to Canada! It can save you $$$$.
