    • ○  Sang this piece in the Xiaoping Choir in Toronto. :)
      • ○  Wow! Sounds very good! You have had a long history of singing😀. I am really behind for many many years😢. I really need to study hard👊.
      • ●  Would you like to share your solo singing? Welcome! 👏👏👏
        • ○  I'm very bad at solo... Only sing in choirs. :p
          • ○  It's ok😁. I know you can sing well, as long as the songs fit your voice. Please don't feel any pressure from my request. Just keep and enjoy your way. 😀
  • Underwater in Philippines Underwater in Philippines
    • ○  Wow! Who is the guy playing with the sea animals there? Hope following song can accompany him there. 😆😆
      • ○  So cute! Haha, I've seen everything mentioned in this song, through my scuba diving!
        • ○  I guess there is one exception: sharks. Right?
          • ○  I did see sharks on a few occasions, not only at the fish department of Chinese groceries. :D Saw small sharks, like one metre long, a few times. And whale shark from far away.
            • ○  If human beings are very close to sharks without protection, do you think the small sharks (~1m long) can hurt people or not? Are the wetsuits strong enough to protect people from small sharks' attack?
              • ○  There are many many types of shark, most of them are shy and don't want to mess up with humans. As far as I know, only big whites are dangerous.
            • ●  Did the local diving business company provide you (a customer) any special protection for your safety? If yes, how? Thanks!
              • ○  No need. :)
    • ●  Were you diving in an open area of the sea?
      • ○  Yes, it's an open area. But very close to islands.
        • ○  Did you feel any changes of water temperature with different depths you dove into?
          • ○  Basically it's not obvious.
            • ○  Thank you, Sailor.
  • Hello Turtle! Hello Turtle!
    • ○  The turtle is very big. Do you know how many years old it is? Who was in the water?
      • ○  I believe it could be at least 50 years old. In the water there were two guys: the turtle and me. :D
        • ○  How did you get the picture, by other's help, or a remote controller or automatic gadget? Wish you a happy and long life, 100 years or more.
          • ○  The dive guide took it. :) Live long life like a turtle; hold long breath like a turtle. :D
    • ●  Is a wetsuit with diving equipment comfortable to wear? How did you feel when you were in deeper water? How deep can you dive and how long can you stay under water for when you use the equipment?
      • ○  Yes, it's quite comfy when you're under water. One thing different is that you need to adjust ear pressure when you descend. With the first level certificate, one can go as deep as 18m. Usually a tank of air allows you 30 - 60 minutes of stay.
        • ○  Do you have to watch a timer to end the dive session, or the equipment will warn you to go up before the air is completely used up?
          • ○  There is a pressure meter telling you how much air remains in the air tank. It starts at about 200 bars. When it goes down to 50 bars, it's time to end the diving and head back up.
            • ○  Good to learn. Thanks! Were you attending a diving training class there ?
              • ○  I got mine in Indonesia. It takes 4 days. If you do it, only do it in tropical water. :)
                • ○  Oh, I can imagine that there would be lots of fun during diving. I wish I am brave enough to learn diving. But unfortunately I feel I can not survive in water. 😯
                  • ○  We human beings cannot survive under water. That's why we use scubas. :)

    • ○  Flying flamingos in Celestun, Yucatan, Mexico
      • ○  Very nice!
    • ●  More photos of flamingos
      • ○  Amazing! They are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
        • ○  Thank you!
    • ●  Nice photos!
    • ●  They are not aggressive, comparing to Canada Geese. Flamingos are skittish. But Canada geese attack humans.
      • ○  Flamingos are prettier than geese. :D
    • ●  Nice shots.
      • ○  Thanks!
    • ●  Flamingos are one of the most beautiful birds in the world. They are tall and elegant, with long necks and thin long legs. Their pink color instantly captures the eyes and hearts of bird watchers.
      • ○  Agree! They are really gorgeous. It's so joyful to see them, even if seeing them from photos only.
        • ○  Next time you can go to Celestun. You will be able to get very very close to them, feel them in person.
          • ○  Is that possible for a human visitor to gently touch them?
            • ○  You can go as close as a couple metres, that's it. :)
          • ●  I can imagine that it would be a wonderful experience!
            • ○  That part of Mexico is very peaceful and safe.
              • ○  That's good. What is the best month to watch them in Celestun?
                • ○  I went in February. They said November to March is a good time.
                  • ○  Thanks a lot!
                  • ●  Lucky you! We went to Rio Lagartos during X mas time, but did not see many. We were told that they flew to south (Chile area) for winter.
                    • ○  So probably it's better to avoid the coldest time Dec and Jan, but choose a time in Nov and Feb - Mar ?
                      • ○  It won't be cold there. The temperature will be just fine.
                        • ○  I see. Thank you!
    • ●  love the pics :)
      • ○  Thanks~~~
  • My fanciest breakfast My fanciest breakfast
    • ○  It's so colorful and looks very fresh. Is the bowl a half coconut shell? Coconut, mango, watermelon or dragon fruit, some berry jam, etc. Missing proteins.
      • ○  Quinoa is at the bottom. :)
        • ○  I love quinoa. It's healthy and easy to cook. I usually buy the larger pack ones from Costco. Local Costco stores sell organic quinoa at a better price.
          • ○  Yup! Me too.
    • ●  Oh, Kiwi is there. Maybe the red ones are strawberries, not dragon fruits or watermelons. Is there anything hidden under the fruits? How much is the whole bowl of fruits?
      • ○  There was some quinoa. This was from a pretty fancy place, so it's quite expensive in Philippines standard. It cost 300 Philippines Pesos (CAD $7.5) for this bowl plus a cup of coffee.
        • ○  You were spending extravagantly there😆! I guess you must be in a very good 👍mood at that time.
          • ○  Yeah, I was like a "tu hao" over there! Back in Canada I don't dine out for breakfast!
  • In a remote village in Philippines, I saw this banner. Filipinos value education too! In a remote village in Philippines, I saw this banner. Filipinos value education too!
    • ○  Nice report from the front line ☺! In my impression, they work very hard. They strive to become richer through good education and better jobs.
      • ○  That's correct. I'm quite sure the country will become very successful in the long run.
    • ●  Are foods (especially sea food, fruits, and veggies) very cheap there?
      • ○  Cheaper than Canada, but not very cheap compared to other Southeast Asian countries. Philippines is quite westernized. All public signs/notices are in English.
        • ○  How about comparing with India you visited?
          • ○  Things in India is a lot cheaper. English is popular only in South India. In the north, it's very difficult to find someone speaking some English.
            • ○  Surprise. I though everyone speaks english in India. It seems that the situations in different areas of the country and in different social classes of people are quite different in many aspects there.
              • ○  India had been a British colony for 300 years; while Philippines had been a US territory for 50 years.
                • ○  I guess the cultural difference between British system and US system , as well as the different religions in India and Philippines made the difference.
                  • ○  At this point I feel that the more important factor is the culture of the region, and civilization development of people.
                    • ○  Probably in some regions they don't open to anything new or modern at all. They just insist to stay at their old traditional level.
                      • ○  They have different mind or philosophy.
                      • ●  You're right. People in certain parts of India are still very traditional.
    • ●  I also saw a slogan related to education on the wall of a village school building in the Philippines.
      • ○  Interestingly, the core values are in local language!
      • ●  You 👍caught a very meaningful placard from there. It seems they are in a good direction, and on the way to becoming richer and stronger.
        • ○  I hope they are but am not very optimistic for them.

    • ●  I still prefer such style of pop songs. Beautiful melody, good voice, and poetic lyrics.
      • ○  Whenever these music and songs accompany me, I feel I am back to the innocent age.
        • ○  Me too. :)

    • ○  A test. My first time to upload a picture here.
      • ○  It's hidden... Test failed. 😁
        • ○  Oops, I may test it again later. 😁
