本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛teach you how to play "different" ones, they teach you techniques--you can apply to different ones. not only theirs or yours-- if in this case, then i can say you need to have second thought about this particular teacher.

oh, another thought, maybe, everyone(parent, child) wants just to pass the RCM/ takes some local competitions, i mean not professional development ( professionally speaking), so, teachers will like to "teach" you how to play best in Y.(or , whatever the competition will use) for good result. and yes, Y has lighter keys, that's why everybody likes it.but actually, if you really play in a S., you will not want to go back to Y. anymore for whatever reason (personal opinion though)

a true musician (pianist) will just fine in playing any piano. a true teacher will just teach you(techniques--they cannot teach you one by one, of course, but they teach you the method) to play any piano.

go back to your second paragraph, yes, people are lazy these days, human nature--pick the easier one. but i personally think, Y is not comparable to S., especially when we are talking about concerns/competitions, still you can see, Y is designed for "popular"uses. not S.,their market is different.

no matter how good/famous a teacher is, if s/he think your child is talented/promising (or s/he wants), then s/he will make any possible arrangement for you/your child, either in your house, or theirs. not a set rule.

teachers usually will not that "nice" to anyone at the beginning, but they will change their attitudes towards you/your child. if they are true professionals, they know what should they do. but ....

a common sense on music 音色 means not professional understanding of the 音色, except the persons(hears) are very exceptional in music ,otherwise, just our own likeness.

usually, youngsters like bright sounds by nature, mostly.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
