Yes, you should. Especially don't travel there as a backpacker or an adventurer. Safety is the most important factor, not only for yourself and your family, but also for all Rolians.

Indeed, this is the only country that I have been to that made me feel so uncomfortable, from food to culture. - After that, I made no plan to visit Muslim countries in the near future.

However, I ran into some Muslim people during recent trip to Thailand. They are so much different.
So the situations really depend on the areas or the locations, the countries-------a comprehensive result of the local culture / education, civilization extent, religions, politics, etc.
