Before I left Toronto, I drove to Markham and visited that area. I also visited a community in North York (I cannot remember the name of that community.) I found that Markham is so quiet, so clean, .... I also had a look at the model homes in Markham. (Markham is the main high-tech area in greater Toronto). I was deeply impressed.
I have a very good friend in Kanata of Ottawa.
(Kanata is the main high-tech area in Ottawa.) He is an old immigrant. He advised me to move to Kanata. According to one of my colleage from Ottawa, Ottawa is not as crowded as Toronto. For an IT guy, Ottawa is also a city full of opportunities.
However, it is much colder in Ottawa than in Toronto. Except for its coldness, Ottawa has a better environment. However, it depends how you view these things. If you are an energetic boy, you may find Ottawa is boring. If you think about things in the manner of old man, you may feel Ottawa is a place where
you can have a stable life.
If you like the city life, please go to Toronto downtown. If you like a quiet life, go to Ottawa.
By the way, Ottwa's winter is really long.
