Your years of experience in this field plus good English will make you a right candidate.

Lack of local experience might be a disadvantage. However, if you once work in an international company in China, you certainly will impress your prospective employer here and he takes your experience in China seriously.

Don't aim too high in the beginning. It's not easy for a Chinese new immigrant to become an executive assistant in a local company here. Try some entry level positions first.

Some final words about working in Chinese (Hong Kong, Taiwan or Mainland) companies here. They do need bilingual people. The average rate is $8-10 per hour, no or few company benefits (annual leave, health care, etc). You don't like to work in Chinese companies for long. As chances appear, you will switch to local companies for sure. Good luck.
