Jabber's English Note---002

Since we began to learn English, we have been used to the following questions:

Do you have any sisters?
Do you have any sisters and brothers?

However, things are not as simple as we usually believe. For instance, if you show off your English before a professor, he/she may ask you: "Do you have any siblings? " Usually, people do not use this word. But in the paper work, it is quite common to use "siblings" instead of "brothers and sisters".
