My complaint to booking.com

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I booked a room with OYO 7326 Hotel Penguin in Kolkata, India (Confirmation Number: 1460109691). I clearly stated that I was from Canada and provided a Canadian phone number. I received both email and SMS text confirmations from the hotel.

However, when I arrived at the hotel tonight around 8pm, the front desk refused to check me in. I was told that I couldn't stay there because I was a foreigner. The front desk person couldn't communicate much in English. He was only able to give me a phone number to contact OYO. The person in that number referred me to another number for customer service. After a long telephone conversation, the OYO customer service was not able to provide a satisfying solution. Eventually I had to book another hotel by myself. (Confirmation Number: 2036197435).

It was very stressful having to deal with all these hassles, especially when it was already late in evening and I was tired from the flights.

The booking of OYO 7326 Hotel Penguin should not get through online in the first place, if they really don't accept foreigners. This must be the responsibility of booking.com. I'm demanding booking.com to refund the price difference of the two bookings, 1167 Rupees (4480 - 3313 = 1167), to me. Although this still does not compensate the hassles I've encountered, the extra time and efforts I have to put in to handle such situation.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
