Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who will be an integral part our global communication network engineering teams. The network architected and designed by this team enables Panasonic on flight communication growth at a large scale and is the IP foundation for our next generation satellite multimedia communication service.
In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of infrastructure systems. You are expected as an SME in the systems domain. You are expected to design, evaluate and test DNS, Radius, Redhat Linux Operation systems, Vmware, Network Monitoring and Reporting. You will create design, evaluation and test plan, and configuration standard document.
This is a Senior 12-months contract position, with possible extension or convert to permanent.
Skills and Qualifications
• More than 10 years of experience in IT network or systems engineering design, and implementation as applied to complex computing systems
• 5+ years Unix/Linux system administrator or engineering experience
• 5+ years Windows server system administrator or engineering experience
• 3+ years Vmware system administrator or engineering experience
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in design and implementation BIND DNS
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Radius protocol and Radius AAA deployment and operation experience, such as Cisco ACS and ISE
• Knowledge and working experience on Storage, SQL Database
• Knowledge and experience of Python, Perl or other script languages a plus
• Knowledge of standard networking monitoring technologies (SNMP, *Flow, etc.) a plus
• Knowledge on network device configuration and management a plus
• Knowledge of Solarwinds NPM, Cacti, a plus
• Exceptional documentation skills that can clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skills
• Self-motivated, Self-Reliant, Self-Starting, Go-Getter, Attitude of ownership, and A strong desire to learn
• Works well in an engineering environment that requires communication and collaboration with fellow team members, and cross function teams
