Maxime Bernier****Former ambassador and head of Canada’s Immigration Service James Bissett offers straightforward analysis that cuts through all the nonsense we hear about illegal migrants.

How Canada can actually fix the migration mess on its borders

Bissett: “Canada has no obligation to accept asylum claims from people who are not in danger of persecution. People who enter illegally should be arrested and quickly returned to where they came from — the United States, primarily — after a removal order has been issued.”

It’s simple. There’s a process. Follow it. Or else we expel you. That will quickly stop the flow.

New York is not a dangerous place. Canada doesn’t need bogus refugees who are exploiting loopholes in our system and costing taxpayers 100s of millions to process their claims.

Also agree that Immigration Refugee Board filled with political appointees should be replaced.

Bissett: “In most countries asylum decisions are made by professional refugee officers or judges. They have the background and expertise necessary to make quality decisions quickly.”
