Rogers has received a notice alleging that activities associated with your IP address are infringing copyright in material(s) owned or exclusively licensed by others, such as downloading a movie, music, or games.
Your privacy is important to us - we haven't told the sender who you are, and wouldn't do that without being compelled by law, like a warrant or court order. We don't track or keep records about what you do online, just what IP address we assigned to you. With that said, given the dynamic way in which IP addresses are assigned to subscribers, it is possible that the illegal activity complained of in the attached notice was committed by someone else. If this is the case, then the allegations made in the notice would not apply to you.
We're required by Canadian copyright law to send along this notice. However, we can't verify its contents nor its sender and we can't alter its contents in any way. As a result, we are passing along to you the full, unaltered, notice from the sender as we are required to do.
You should also know that we can't confirm the merits of any settlement payment that may be requested by the sender.
