It's said that latest definition of IT is equivalant to IS and it's service. From my point of view, IS should cover some of Information security. While security SW and HW provider are not in IS, like Certicom.
I'm hardware designer, also with some part-time experience in IS in China. I was lucky I didn't find Oracle/Pro*C job and still in my original field. Otherwise I will suffer from long term pain because all people who could find jobs are learning so call "IT".
