Jabber's English Note---017

If you are sort of person who does not care much for the consequence,
the following two phrases are for you.

After me the deludge!
After me the flood!

They have the same meaning, but the second one is more widely used by common people.

I have been working as a contractor. Usually, I don't care the success or failure of the projects that I am involved in. Whenever my colleages get worried about the project, I always tell myself: After me the deludge! After me the flood!

Right now, things are getting different to me. Because I have taken some responsibilties, I don't think about those phrases frequently....
