Jabber's English Note---019

jabber (jabber)
Here are two words: Contructive and Destructive.

Generally speaking, if we make some constructive remarks on people or things, people will feel better and we are more welcome.

However, we occasionally make some destructive remarks.... this can cause trouble for ourselves. What are destructive remarks? I give an example here.

One Chinese immigrant majored in Chinese langauge and literature 10 years ago. After he arrived in Canada, he decided to learn some computer technology so as to make a living. One of his friends simply told him: "It is too late for you .... Your background in math is too weak..."
Such words are typically destructive.

I do admit that I am sometimes very destructive. But I am getting more and more constructive as I am getting older.

Let us be more constructive.
