Americans don’t have to take TOEFL first, and Bill Gates didn’t have to take both. Comparing the performance of Chinese and Americans in the States is another story. My point is your ‘total character discourse’. Your pro-Beijinger view just needs justifications. Why don’t you compare Beijinger with Hong Kong Chinese here? They are wealthier, they got monster house, and are more politically and socioeconomically accepted by Canada. They know how to use micro waver, elevator and so on and occupy more high positions in high tech, finance and insurance industry. Therefore your logic will conclude Hong Kong Chinese got better ‘total character’ than Beijinger. Your anonymousness in this debate just deducts one credit from your ‘total character’, your English usage of ‘total character’ got another credit off, and your desperate thought of being just a technical labour got another off.
