My solution

1. Leave it that way, since the paint at that place is just for appearance and if your car is old enouth.
2. Make your car look great and make yourself feel great.
. Buy a can of "Color Match" from Canadian tire.
. Clean the scratched surface (may or may not need to sand the area).
. Mask the surrounding area with tape/paper.
. Spray the area evenly with the paint. In some cases, you may need to apply a layer of "clear coat", which can also be found in Canadian Tire.
. If you want to do even better, follow the whole instruction printed on the can and buy more "profession-level" tools/materials.

Total cost: Material: $10~$40, Labor: 0.5~2.0 hr

Good luck.
