About the charcoal: everywhere, basically...supermarket/grocery store (Highland Farm, Loblaws...), corner store, Canadian tire... about $5 for a big bag. You could also get some gas from shelfs nearby to light up the charcoal.

BBQ places: generally don't have to book...you can bring your own bbq too. Anything else?: BBQ is much easier than cooking...don't worry at all. Many Chinese don't like burger or hot dog for bbq. I love Korean BBQ most.
