I remember one guy posted a paragragh to ask how to write a resume for a firmware (or emebedded software) engineer in this BBS half a year ago. I answered it, I am sure he should have gotten his job. Half a year later,I myself came to Ottawa, I got my job within three weeks after my landing. I sent out about 10 CV, got 7 interviews (including 2 in US), and till today I have gotten three offers. The payments all are not bad, 70k to 80k.I am not showing anything to somebody, but I want to share sth with you if u have similar experience as mine.
I have more than 4 years experience in real time software design. I have no experience with JAVA, C++, but only with C and assembler, of course with some experience about hardware and servo control, but not too much. The most important thing is that language is just language, if you only know it, there won't be any merits for your job. I have gotten some experience about real-time opration system(RTOS), clear case. So what I mean here is that you must know what you are good at, purely software programming is not good as firmware design. Maybe I am luck because I worked in a world-wide famous company before. May wish all of you good luck.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
