Programmer Analyst #4563
Calian (TSE:CTY) is the 11th largest provider of technology and professional
services in Canada. Currently we have an immediate requirement for a
Programmer Analyst #4563 for a contract position in Ottawa.

Responsibilities:

Provide programming support for the maintenance, development and
implementation of DGAEPM (Director General Aerospace Equipment Program
Management) applications to satisfy systems specifications and/or to correct
problems approved by the Technical Authority. The Programmer Analyst shall
be able to perform the following tasks when requested:

- Provide programming support for the statistical analysis of AMMIS
(Aircraft Maintenance Manpower Information System) data, as required;

- Develop, test and document software modules based on system
specification;

- Update software modules and related documentation;

- Test modified software modules;

- Install and confirm correct operation of application software;

- Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions to application
software as required;

- Upgrade application software as directed by Technical Authority;

- Provide "hot-line' support to application users within DGAEPM and CF
(Canadian Forces) units;

- Provide guidance, tutorials and manuals as required to familiarize
users with application software capabilities and limitations;

- Analyze impact of major application upgrades as requested by the
Technical Authority;

- Review application code and documentation, providing advise to the
Technical Authority on application support matters;

- Develop, test, document and implement new applications based on
requirements approved by the Technical Authority; and

- Assist in the preparation of training/briefing material.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Must possess detailed knowledge and at least four (4) years continuous
experience using Oracle.

- One year experience using Oracle v7x.

- One year experience using Developer 2000 (Forms 4.5, Reports 2.6, and
Graphics 2.5).

- Good knowledge of Designer 2000.

- 4 years experience in Oracle application support/development.

- 2 years experience using Windows and WordPerfect or MS Word.

Education Requirements:

- Minimum grade 12.
