I, myself, am an immigrant too. I came here 4 years ago. I have experienced all those difficulties too, and survived. Based on my personal experience, I think this article has its truth. For example, for the last four years, my income kept 50% plus annual growth rate.

In term of Job market, I agree it is a bad time right now, especially in IT field. However, if you do not give up, there is always hope.

BTW, I am working in IT field too.
