I am too old or too old to make any predicions for the future

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Since you are learning Java, you should master Servlet/JSP, or EJB, or Micro Java.

We individuals have limited time and energies. If you have experiences in MTS, COM, DCOM, it is definitely good. LIkewise,
if you have CORBA experiences, EJB should be a piece of cake for you. However, if you are just moving from desktop application to enterprise application, please be sure to choose a direction. The most important thing is that we are experts in some field.

Some people have a lot of "knowledge". They can tell you what is good for EJB, what is good for DCOM, what is poor for CORBA, .... they can be a boss, a manager, but they usually are not good programmers. Because of our language background, most of us have to do programming. We cannot llive on talking to poeple and writing some proposals.

I do believe Java won't die within 3 years.
So it is worthy of our studying.

By the way, not all the IT people have clear minds. Right now, many projects are developed using Java simply because Java is hot on the market. It is a good opportunity for us to make money!更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
