Not getting a receipt is a big mistake, but there are still something you can do:
1. Every bank branch should have at least one camera. It will record everything. Ask to review the video tape.
2. I believe in the end of the day, the bank will do a balancing on the accounts. How much it gave out and how much it received. If there is an error, it should be appeared on the balancing sheet.
3. Report this to the TD headquarter, at least let them have this record filed and ask them to investigate.
