Another anthrax scare in Vancouver
Employees at a CIBC mail processing facility in Vancouver were evacuated this morning because of an anthrax scare, the fourth in the city in 24 hours.

Shortly before 2 a.m., the postal centre received a threatening letter containing a white powder. It appears only one female employee has come in contact with the letter.

A hazardous materials team joined police on the scene. Team captain Mike Joy says the envelope was decontaminated and removed via police car. That car itself was then decontaminated and sent to an impound yard.

The employee who handled the envelope showered and returned to work, as did about ten other employees present when the envelope was opened.

It is not known at this time what the substance is.
