It's probably the problem of the starter

Some models of cars have a nasty feature -- When the starter gets too hot by the heat from the exhausting pipe, it refuses to restart. However, if you let it cool down for 20 minutes, it will back to life. Next time when you fail to start, leave it alone for 15-20 minutes with hood open, then try starting again. It may work.
