I don't know Windows. But the four ports in the HUB are in a same collision and broadcasting domain. When you start up four work stations, each one tries to locate the default gateway by sending
wjiang(激昂领导)
broadcasting traffic. These traffics compete with each other and blocks each other. It thus take a long time to converge.
