Jabber's English Note ---056

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Right now, it is desparately difficult for new immigrants to find a good-pay job in Canada. Sooner or later, however,
all those unemployeed friends will find a job to do.

Some employers provide direct-deposit service for their employees. If you choose to use direct deposit, your salary subject to tax
will be put into your bank account directly by your employer. In doing so, you can save a lot of travelling to your banks.

As your employeer does so-called \\\"orientations\\\" for you, you may be asked whether to use derect-deposit. If you choose it, you
may be asked to provide a void check. The resson is that your employeer needs to learn the routing number of your bank as well as
your account number. If you are interested, you may study your check book for a while. You will see some lennthy numbers on each
of your checks ---- They are rounting and account numbers. Of course, each check has a check number. To provide a void check, you
open your check book, scratch the word \\\"VOID\\\" in one check, tear it off and hand it to the accountant of your employeer.

To make things work well, some employeers pay you first-time by a live check. A live check is a true check, a true paper check.
You are supposed to deposit it to your bank, which will route it back to your employeer. The employeer uses this trick to
confirm all the information related to your bank account--- routing number and account number.

The above is my observation. If any friends are financial professionals, please give us more explanations. Thank you in advanc更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
