long time no talk , i just find your new website and your new office location . We are your old customer Steve xxxx and Jasmine xxxxx. Do you still remeber us ? We have been in canada over 3 years right now . I think you did a pretty good job in beijing to expand your business .
We just paid a visit back to beijing at Oct , but no time to meet you , sorry about that , now i back to toronto and just try get hold on you again so i send this mail to your company's mail address, if you can read this mail , please drop some line to me , i want you to give me some information , thanks a lot .
Below is the picture of my home and life in canada right now , just give you a quick update . We had over 100 IBM folks now in toronto group , we always meet together and i find some of them also sent by well trend . I still have a close contact with the old well trend customers , but don't know more about the new , hope you guys have a better life than before .

So nice to receive your message and the nice photo. How can I forget old friends？ I am so glad to know you guys are doing good. I have not paid my visit to toronto yet this year because of tight schedule. I will definately meet old friends especially you and Jasmine. Keep in touch.

I 'm glad get your response so quickly . Like you said ,most of welltrend customer i knew in here have a good life now because you pick the righr customer :-)
For us , the life in here is comfortable and stable because we pick a little bit different way than other people in canada . Me and my wife stay in the big company for this 3 years even we can get the better offer from other small company , so now when the small company crashed , XXX and XX Bank still healthy so that we can keep our life quality.
But the problem is : you never know what will happen next day or next year even you are stable than others , that's the reality in here right now .. If this thing happen in Beijing , i will not scare because is easy to find other job , but in here , you must prepare the worst case .
So after i paid the visit back to beijing this Oct. I made the decision back to beijing next year after we get citizenship . I maybe rejoin XXX as Marketing manager and my wife may join XX&X as senior Tech consultant , so now i want you to give me some information about this :
How can we work in china for a long time just like you with the canada passport ?
Do we need renew the stay permit every year if i'm work in XXX china ?
Do you think there is a way to stay in china for a long time without any problem with the canada passport ?
I think you created a great demo for this , so i just want you to give me some suggestion , i want to fix this problem before i back .
On the other hand , I think canada is better place to live than beijing , it is comfortable and relax , work is not heavy and the pay is also good , but i feel boring without my own culture, i feel so good when i back to beijing and saw all my friends and colleagues have the better life , we have a happy time together . So if we get to a higher level in beijing , we will back for sure . How about you now ? drop some detail of your life to me , i really care about you feeling :-)
By the way , just tell you , Guoxxx ( who introduce me to your place at 1996) already bring his america wife back to shanghai this Sep , he is a assignee of honnywell US , will stay in shanghai at least 3 years , they bought the new home in shanghai , if you are interest in contact him , i can give you his address .
I know you are busy all the time , and i also know you have many people "say boss " to you , do you feel well with this ??? hope can get the anwser from you soon .

hi steve,
sorry for reply late. you have two ways to come back china to work, a formal way and an informal way. a formal way is to enter china with your canadian passport bearing a 'F' or 'L' visa. when you got you employment, your employer should get it changed to 'Z' for you. the 'Z' is renewable once a year which is what i do. the informal way is to enter china with chinese passport and then hide your canadian identification to chinese authorities. in this case no visa is necessary. some people do this. you have to judge yourself. if you will be working for giants like XXX, i do not think 'Z' is a problem. of course i remember guoxxx. pls give me his contact mumber. i have an office in shanghai too. i will be glad to meet him, a very nice guy.

Your family definately belongs to those very small percentage of new immigrants who are so successful. I feel so happy for you and also very proud of you.
