Every time you buy a "Made in China" item you help our poor economy.
Why? It is GE, Lucent, Compaq, HP, Dell, Baby Bells, WalMart, K-Mart, Target, Nike, Sears, ... that rack the hugh profit in the middle, while the poor sweaty Chinese workers get the mini-mini-minimum "wage".
The Chinese (Mainland. HK, Taiwan, Singapore) are the honest supporters of the US-Dollar system. They are holding >70% trade hard currency reserves of the world. For every $100 dollars our gov print out, $60 go oversea and never come back. It means we not only buy cheap foreign goods but also get additional 60% discount.
The European want to share that fortune badly by pushing hard of their EURO system to the world now. They wish/hope/expect someday they could just print paper money and plastic cards and laying back to enjoy the cheap foreign goods as well.
Without the cheap Chinese made goods and their honest support of the US Dollar system our inflation would run out of control, and we would repeat the 1929 Depression - no money - no jobs, not to mention those monstrous SUVs and big screen TVs.
The real nightmare to all of us would be someday the Chinese decided to switch to EURO as the trade currency, or, to create their own trade currency system to share the benefits that US dollar enjoys all over the world in the past 50 years. We are the only country through the human history running on a one trillion dollar national debt without being questioned about our financial credibility.
Just 20$B loan brought the Russian down to our knees three years ago. Several billions dollar currency manipulations wiped out the entire 20- year hard-working fortune of Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It nearly ruined the whole SE Asia economy years ago - Thanks to the Chinese in China, Taiwan, and HK for holding back those western "free-market" currency pirates. It is the virtual "Great China Economy Zone" that keeps the SE Asia from falling into the economy black hole.
Don't forget that China does not have a single company with a house hold brand name in this country. When you buy a Chinese made Sony camcorder or a Compaq laptop from a sales lady at Best Buy, it is those American and Japanese international companies that make the real money.
Don't forget that the German and the French have all the technology and manpower to compete with the US at every aspect. The Chinese are mainly a poor slavery class providing their sweat, resources, and time to make our living better and better.
Behind the closed door our gov knows very well that the German/French is our ultimate enemy. This time they join their forces to realize the Hitler-Napoleon's dream in unifying the Europe - including the whole East Europe and Russia. This time they use EURO instead of the military forces as their weapon. I suspect one day the German/French would dare to tell our soldiers to leave the NATO and to leave the Europe, just like Prez Monroe told the European that America is Amerian's America.
