People here normally are friendly, but it's still uncomfortable to talk with them using the second language especially when you just want to relax and talk. Try to ask them something you are interested in. In this way, they will be happy because they feel that they can help somebody, and you will be happy too because you can learn more. It's really not good to keep silence in the office. Say she or he looks great in the morning and say have a nice night at the end of the day. If you see their children's photos on the desk, you can say they are pretty or.... Communication is the only way to create a nice working environment for you.

It's must be tired to drive on the high way for one hour everyday. But I am sure when you are getting used to do that, you will feel better. Driving can be terrible if you are nervous. But, It's also can be fun.
