They are professors at UofT, UW, McMaster etc., bankers at Royal, BMO, TD etc., architectors and principle engineers at Nortel, Rogers etc., and many many more.

I know nobody among my old friends is still "在做小生意，打工" in Canada. These old 留学生 are at least as good as those went to US. However I know plenty of software and hardware engineers in Silicon Valley working as seasonal workers at Walmart, Kmart, and waitors at the restaurants in San Francisco.
